UPS Mobile Reimagined Prototype
One of the final projects I undertook for the UPS Mobile Reimagined campaign was flushing out a full-scale prototype for the January ’24 release of the product.
This prototype included the entirety of the work that both my team and I had been preparing over the past year and a half.
The purpose of this composition was to provide UPS developers with clear instruction on how to develop the architecture of the app as well as how to implement the design. This, along side a well documented component and style library was delivered towards the end of my tenure.
As you’ll see the level of detail required was extraordinary. Stakeholders wanted the app to work as close to real-life as possible. This required me to both learn and utilize many of the new prototyping features Figma was launching at the time.
My goal for the documentation was to provide as comprehensive an overview of the app as possible and then allow viewers to have the option to drill down Into the most meta of detail as required.
Site Map
I started with a site map and utilized a page key to help users get a generalized understand of the nature of each page. As users navigated the site map they also had the option to click any of the pages shown, this would then lead them to the corresponding page in the high-fidelity prototype for easy relational access.

Prototype Screens
The prototype presented here includes the primary screens necessary to understand the totality of the app experience. While not every single interaction was able to be captured, I managed to account for this by linking every section to the primary working documents which mapped out every microinteraction in detail.
Probably not a surprise to most of you, but one of the most interesting byproducts of creating this gigantic prototype was discovering how many overlooked areas actually existed in the design. Even with a team of top-notch designers and fantastic directors, much of the work I found myself doing was creating new tickets to make up for oversights, irregularities and improvements.
